Green Peppercorn Steak and Potatoes with Sautéed Garlic Spinach

Ingredients

 

  • 1 pouch Le Sauce & Co. Classic Green Peppercorn Gourmet Finishing Sauce

  • 2 small Steak Filets

  • 1 cup Fresh or frozen spinach

  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic

  • 3-4 small Russet Potato

  • 1/4 cup Milk

  • 1 tbsp Butter

  • Salt and Pepper

  • Dried or fresh parsley

 

Equipment:

  • Meat Tenderizer

  • Cutting Board

  • Microwave safe bowl

  • Plastic wrap

  • Skillet

  • Grill (cast iron skillet or oven)

Preparation

1. Tenderize and season steak filets generously with salt and pepper.

2. Peel and cut potato into cubes. Put in microwave safe bowl and cover with plastic wrap.

Cut a small slit in plastic wrap and set aside.

3. Cook steaks on high 3-5 mins. per side depending on thickness of steak.

4.  Once steak is cooked to desired doneness, set aside and let rest.

5. Microwave potato cubes for 5-7 minutes or until potatoes have softened and can be mashed easily.

6. While potatoes are in microwave, add spinach and a tablespoon of butter and minced garlic to heated skillet.

7.  Saute until spinach is wilted and season with salt and pepper.

8. To potatoes add a splash of milk, a tablespoon of butter, and season to taste with salt, pepper, and garlic salt. Mix until creamy, adding more milk and butter as needed for desired consistency.

9.  Plate mashed potatoes, sauteed spinach, and steak filets.

10.  Shake Le Sauce & Co. Green Peppercorn Sauce packet and pour into microwave safe bowl.

11.  Microwave for about 20 seconds then pour over steaks.

12.  Top steak and potatoes with dried or fresh parsley.
